As noted in a classmate's comment about another passing this week, it does hit you harder when it is not just a clasmate, but someone you were friendly wit in H.S. I was not close freinds with Terri, but she was in a group I associated with. Very nice girl, and I am sure a kind woman as well.

We all have such a small slice of tohers lives to reflect on remembering H.S. days, unless relationships started before or continued afterwards. Still, I want to add my condolences to her 3 daughters (and husband?). I have not read her obit, but just reacting to the news.

I received a text  in the middle of the night , from her husband Terry,( married 51 yrs) to tell me of Terri's passing . I will miss our close friendship , wonderful phone conversations, small Sorority reunions, &  lunch visits to one another's Coast  .Rest in peace Sweet Friend. I am so sorry to hear about teri’s passing. We were great friends in high school and carpooled to school with Gerry biggin and Nancy Ludwig. I was able to keep in touch through her brother and nephew who live in phoenix. Rest in peace

I was so saddened to hear of Terri's passing. We were classmates from Lomond through high school. Even though we were not close friends, we kept in touch on Facebook. We were fortunate to get together in Delray Beach for lunch 1 1/2 years ago with some other classmates who were down in Florida visiting. She looked beautiful.  My condolences and heartfelt sympathy go out to her family.

I am so very sad to hear about Terri's passing. As Susie said we carpooled in High School, there was Terri,me, Nancy Ludwig & Janet Falkenburg.Terri and I, when we were able to drive used to cruise around Southgate U.S.A. it was a great place back then. We would go to the Eldorado drive in hamburger place that was on Northfield Rd.  It was near Emery Rd. and there is a highway there now. One other experience Terri and I both  shared was , we had nose jobs, cosmetic surgery on our noses right about the same time. I think it was winter break 1964. So, we would call each other to share how we were doing!  After school, before we drove, we would take the rapid to Lee Rd. and walk to one of the Drug Stores at Chagrin & Lee ( where Shaker Towne Center is now) and have a coke and fries!!! One of the heathy after school snacks we enjoyed, back in the day!!!  Terri was fun to be with and she was sweet and nice too!

We lost tiuch after college. But, she and Terry stopped in the store a couple of times, after they moved to Florida. I have a couple of nice pictures of the 3 of us and Nancy too!!  Whenever we got together it was like we were teenage girlfriends once again!  It was fun to see her again at the 50th!!

She signed my Year Book, " Well, it's been a hard struggle, but we finally made it"   Well, my friend, you MADE IT in SO MANY WAYS!   You married a great guy, married 51 yrs.and 3 lovely daughters who I have no doubt are great women!!

Rest in Peace, my friend.

GERRY:  That was really a very good addition to Terri's "In Memory" section.  Our families didn't seem to move around frequently which resulted in school friendships much stronger than those today with our children and grandchildren. I also new Terri from Lomond School and saw her from time to time after graduation.  I had dinner with Terri and Terry (her husband) last spring right before the Covid outbreak.  There were some other Shakerites also at that dinner in Florida.  Now I feel like the Angel of Death announcing all these on our website.   On the other hand the flashback memories such as the ones you wrote about here makes it worthwhile.  It generates a perspective of our youth and people we miss.  It is always worthwhile to express yourself to the rest of our class.  Knowing Terri she would appreciate every word.  She was always an UPBEAT person and very expressive.  My message to all of you is feel free to add your 2 cents on any of our deceased classmates.  Simply click on the IN MEMORY on the left side.  A list will appear alphabetically ( please note they did not die alphabetically).  Click on the name and an area will appear to write your condolences.  Then click on to post.  When you are done hit SUBMIT below.   The class will get an email with that a new link has been added to the posting you just created.
