Allan Ippolito (Moved Away Senior Year)

Bob was always a nice guy, as a classmate at Shaker and I enjoyed "catching up" with him at our 50th reunion. May God watch over him. Allan Ipp

I last talked to Bob as Irma wss coming ashore to make sure he had left his condo right there on the beach in Ft. Lauderdale. He sounded fine and had sent Loren and their dog Penny back to Cleveland and he was going to find a place inland to stay. He had health issues that had gotten more serious over the last few years.

Bob was a very generous preson who was a huge supported of the Miami Hurricanes and sat on the school's board. He was a regular donor both to the school and other charities. Carole and I first got to meet Loren at the big reunion which we all enjoyed so much. Torchy, thank you for all of your efforts and those of your committee. The reunion  allowed me to get back to Bob in a much more profound way, what with us half way accross the country. There is something about just talking by phone that is somewhat empty.

To all of my fellow classmates, we are so fortunate to have grown up in a city and school system that allowed us to flourish and grow. Our education has served us well and my hope and prayer is, like Bob Mann, we have used that education to make other people's lives better and more fulfilling. We are all part of the family of mankind and, as family, it is our duty to further the family and those who do not have what we are blessed with each and avery day.
