Very sorry to hear this news about Linda.  Way way back, seventh grade, we went to a Woodbury Dance together.  Warm memories of her, sending sympathy to her family.  She'll be long remembered.

I first became friends with Linda Shack when we were in the 6th grade.  I went to Lomond and she went to Moreland.  One day after school I spotted her with a couple of her friends at Avalon Drug Store.  Donny Schiffer and I followed them back to Moreland  playground and we were lucky not to get our butts kicked in by the Moreland boys.  Instead we found friends among them and more girls were dicovered and that started our Woodbury Carreer.  There were only a couple of streets north of Avalon that went to Woodbury as the rest of Lomond went to Byron . With that first meeting it opened up so may future friends.   My best memory of Linda is when I went on the Mike Douglas Show with Frankie Avalon. This is when we were seniors. She chose me to do a jitterbug as if were on the Dick Clark Show with Frankie. That was a little segment as if it was a spotlight dance with both of us on national TV. . We spent the whole day together cutting school ( with Parents' permission I think). Linda was very active in Caine Park plays in the summer.  One summer she was friends with Paul Peterson from the Donna Reed Show and another summer, Tony Dow from the Leave It To Beaver series.  A few years ago when I was with both teen idols in LA and I brought up Linda's name. They remembered Linda and talked positively about the  live show experiences they had at Caine Park.  Some other Shaker people were also involed and might have remebered Linda Shack being an active singer and actress there.  So many memories get rattled in my brain as I think back now.  Rest in peace Linda.

I was lucky enough to live 2 doors away on Ludgate. I remember thinking she was the cutest girl I knew. We often played cards and things at her house. She was always smiling and had something to say.  I appreciated that the cutest girl I knew and this was 4th and 5th grade lived so close. My memory of her is rock solid in my brain. I have forgotten a few but never hers.

I wish her smile to last forever and for her memory to always be with me.

RIP Linda, You deserve it.
