Hi Torchy I wanted to let you know that Jules Steinberg passed away this morning. He has been illegal for some time after having a stroke a few years ago. He went into a nursing home in February this year because it was getting too hard for his wife to take care of him at home. As soon as the obituary is published from the funeral home I will send it to you. Rhonda

It's getting to the point where my heart sinks, every time I see email from Shaker Class of '65.  Jules was a sprinter on the track team, and a good one.  I hadn't talked to him in awhile and I was bummed when he told me that he wasn't going to be able to travel to Cleveland for our 50th.  I know that this is where we are in life's cycle, but that doesn't make it any less sad or alarming or scary.  I hope everyone is staying safe over these holidays.  Things are likely to get worse before they get better, so don't take any unnecessary risks!  We all want to still be here when the pandemic passes.  Be WELL!

I cannot put it any better than did Ron. To get to Jule's page I had to go to the In Memory page. It is too long,,, way too long, and the blurred eyes make this hard to type. Jules came down to visit me some years back. We spent a great evening together talking about all of our classmates... and the Glory Days of Track and Field. He was a very fine man, and I am proud to have known him. Rest well my friend.

I have know Jules for 61 years and we first met when he moved to Shaker 61 years ago.  We have keep in touch over the years and reconnected 3 1/2 years ago when I moved to Central Florida.  We went out eat one or two times a month and I set up his aquarium for him.  Jules not only loved dogs but fish too.  Rhonda and I were both at the funeral and all can agree, once you met Jules he was your friend for life.  We had many good laughs together and I will miss you dear friend.  You are in a better place right now  Condolences  to his wife Vicki and his three daufgters as well as his sister Bobbie.  Rest in peace dear buddy.
