She was my high school and college friend. Her life was altered by the suicide of her father, then the M.S., then a divorce and the loss of her only son in the divorce. She resorted to the only option she knew and did as her father had done. I wish I could have been there for her so that she could have seen other options. I guess the epithet should be to give and love generously at all times and to be aware of the needs around us. May she and her offspring and family find peace.
